The use of shore power increases during the winter and although an electrical upgrade has been done this past year , the complete project remains unfinished. Even with the upgrade there is still the fear that vessels using shore power will try and get more out of the system than it can handle thereby risking the danger of electrical fire. It is the vessel owners responsibility to ensure that when using shore power they have the right cord and connector. Improper connections can lead to fire. If staff finds substandard cords they will be disconnected. Your cooperation is appreciated. |
