The Directors of the FCHA have made a policy decision on CFV qualifications for Locker.
Any vessel owner possessing a valid CFV license who applies for a locker or an annual locker renewal must if requested satisfy the FCHA that the some or all the following criteria can be met. 1. T4F slip from the most recent taxation year. 2. Valid fish slips consistent with T4F slips. 3. Commercial Fishing Vessel insurance on the boat. 4. The applicant’s vessel must be a vessel designed and built primarily for the purpose of commercial fishing, harvesting or transporting of fish. If any applicant is unable to meet the criteria, the locker will not be awarded. The applicant may appeal in writing any decision to the board. Any locker holder may be required to meet and prove the criteria for annual renewal of the locker lease. This is effective as of June 18, 1999 .Those lockers up for renewal may be granted 90 days notice to find another storage space. |
