The Directors
of the FCHA have made a policy decision on CFV qualifications for Locker That effective
November 1st 1999, for any Commercial Fishing Vessel(CFV) licence holder to be eligible
for the discounted CFV berthage rates the licence holder must, if requested, satisfy the
FCHA that the following criteria are met: 1. T4F slip from the most recent taxation year. 2. Valid fish slips consistent with T4F slips. 3. Commercial Fishing Vessel insurance on the boat. 4. The applicants vessel must be a vessel designed and built primarily for the purpose of commercial fishing, harvesting or transporting of fish. If any applicant is unable to meet the criteria, then pleasurecraft berthage rates will apply to the vessel. The applicant who applies for a storage locker or is due for annual renewal must meet the CFV criteria for FCHA Directive 5.0 Berthage and must be recognized as an FCHA homeport operator. Locker leases must be signed by the vessel owner named as the lease holder and payment will only be received from the lease holder. If the applicant is unable to meet the criteria, the storage locker will not be awarded. Any locker holder may be required to meet and fulfill the criteria for annual renewal of the locker lease. This is effective as of June 18, 1999. Locker occupants who do not meet the criteria may be granted 90 days notice to find alternate storage space. -Applicant(s) may appeal in writing within thirty days, any decision to the FCHA Board of Directors. |
