The Directors of the FCHA have made a policy decision on CFV’s involved in the DFO Licence Buy-Back Program. Members who sell their licence will continue to receive CFV moorage rates subject to the following conditions:
  1. CFV rates will apply to the vessel for a Grace Period of 12 months from the date that the licence was sold.
  2. The Grace Period only applies to the licence holder at the time the licence was sold.
  3. Locker Leasees will have a Grace Period of 12 months from the sale of their Licence to buy another licence before giving up their locker.

Other Policy Information

  1. Lockers in arrears over 120 days will go to the Bailiff for collection.
  2. Under the Fishing and Recreational Harbours Act, removal of vessels and/or goods from the Harbour for which for services rendered are owed may result in criminal charges and penalties up to $25, 1. 000 and 6 months in jail.
  3. Vessels not maintained in a seaworthy manner may lose Harbour privileges.
