Since assuming
management of False Creek Harbour in February, the FCHA has :
- Organized and conducted the Annual General Meeting in
February. Two new directors were elected and preliminary budgets adopted.
- KPMG was appointed as auditor and financial advisor.
- Interviews were conducted and staff hired. Robin
Richardson was hired as Harbour Manager and Will Robinson was hired as Assistant Harbour
Manager.
- Policy, Finance and Operations committees have been
formed to report to the board on these issues.
- Banking, billing and office procedures have been
established.
- New telephone and fax lines are in place. The numbers
are voice: (604)733-3625 and fax: (604)733-3628
- A VHF radio has been installed and we will be
monitoring Channel 16.
- The Operations Manual developed by the Harbour Manager,
Robin Richardson has been adopted as the national model for harbours across Canada.
