 False Creek Harbour Authority begins management of the Harbour: False Creek Harbour now run by Harbour Users

THIS NEWSLETTER IS DESIGNED TO KEEP YOU THE HARBOUR USER INFORMED ON ISSUES RELATING TO THIS FACILITY. THIS ISSUE WILL DEAL WITH THE TURNOVER OF OPERATIONAL CONTROL TO THE FALSE CREEK HARBOUR AUTHORITY.

On February 1st, 1997, the False Creek Harbour Authority (FCHA) began the day to day management of False Creek Harbour. The Board of Directors of the FCHA have signed a management agreement with the Department of Fisheries & Oceans.

Under the management agreement the False Creek Harbour Authority will be responsible for the management of False Creek Harbour. This responsibility involves the efficient and effective provision of services to Harbour users in a fiscally responsible manner.
