The following safety tips will help keep our harbour a safe place for you and your boat:
Be aware! Always be alert to potential safety hazards around you and your vessel.
Don't work alone. If you must work alone, be sure that someone knows where you are and what your doing.
Safety equipment is vital. Always wear eye protection.
Be especially careful when working with flammables and electricity.
Coil up lines and hoses when not in use to prevent tripping.
Keep scuppers free of gear and debris.
Be extra careful during inclement weather, docks, ramps and boats can very slippery when wet.
If in doubt, ASK. False Creek staff will try to answer any safety questions you may have. If we can't answer them we will find out who can.
